I was recently invited to visit the Kehrichtverwertungsanlage in Winterthur, Switzerland. Here are some insights from my visit.

You may have heard about 25 Gbit symmetrical internet in Switzerland. This is often cited as the fastest dedicated (non-shared) residential connection in the world. However, did you ever wonder why Switzerland has such fast internet at a reasonable price while the United States and other countries like Switzerland’s neighbor Germany are falling behind?

What I did to build a more consumer-friendly product without having to open-source everything.

My goal with this project is to build a fully open-source Meshtastic/Meshcore compatible client that is more “rugged” than what is currently available on the market. It has been a while since I set up my original router for my 25gbit internet connection. I decided it was time to upgrade, but since I have some services running, I did not want to be down for too long and purchased some new hardware which would allow me to experiment with VyOS without affecting my current setup.
